Altering Published Stats
From FaHWiki
The Pande Group has a strict policy of not altering points and statistics after work units have been submitted to the Stanford servers. This policy exists because Pande Group are primarily scientists. Burdening them with the extra work of altering statistics would detract from their their ability do more research.
There are only two circumstances in which Pande Group would consider altering the statistics:
- Offensive names displayed in team user-lists
- An intermal process was responsible for a serious statistics error (server error)
Points will never be altered in (but not limited to) these circumstances:
- Consolidation of points from two donator names who are actually the same user, even if the mistake was genuine
- Consolidation of points submitted by a donator from one team, to another.
- Changing usernames will never carry points forward, see above.
There are some alterations that can be made to the displayed statistics. The team founder has the ability to alter some of the details relating to their team. Stanford may need to be contacted in order to do this, especially if the founder has forgotten their password, etc. Any such requests should be made here: Folding-community: Changing your team information: name, homepage, logo.
