Since you guys seem to like Wikipedia so much, referring to it on pages such as this one as well as using its wiki engine, I thought you might like to know the other way in which Wikipedia and Folding@Home are related. Wikipedia good, but...
I am a huge fan of Wikipedia. I am quite active with it and have a long list of contributions, so please understand that I am not trying to say Wikipedia in any way is not good. If I had it my way, Wikipedia would be the reference source for almost everything on the web.
But I digress...
Something that I would like to bring to attention is the changing of the links in the eariler edit made by me to the new WP links. Although I think this is a good idea, it may not be the best idea in the long run. Although WP has lots of information on SSE and SSE2, that information does not specifically relate to the F@H project.
What am I suggesting? Well, I think that we should keep the WP links in there for right now. They are good as right there for the moment. BUT... We should work on an SSE and SSE2 page for the F@H Wiki and how it relates to F@H (such as a brief on how it works and how much it speeds up F@H calculations). From there, it would be nice to have a link such as: To find out more about the technical aspect of SSE and how it works, please see the SSE article at our reference partner, Wikipedia.
Something like this would help this would help people learn more on how SSE and SSE2 relates to the F@H project but still offers them the chance to learn more about how it works.
Anyways, thats my two cents on the issue. Long live WP and FAHWiki!
