Why doesn't the client start automatically when I reboot
From FaHWiki
Unlike many Windows programs, the no-nonsense client is not distributed as a windows installer; just the executable software is downloaded. That means you need to use some basic windows tools to make it convenient to run.
First, be sure
FAHx.xx-console.exe has been placed in a folder, not on the desktop. Second, decide on whether you want to run FAH as a service or interactively. If you have answered YES to Run As A Service? the client will start after rebooting even though there is no evidence on your desktop of it running. If you used the default answer of NO, it's most convenient to create a shortcut in the startup group.
- Open the folder containing the client.
- Right-click on
FAHx.xx-console.exe and select Create Shortcut
- Right-click on the shortcut that was just created and select Move
- Right-click on the START button and select Open
- Double-click on Programs
- Double-click on Startup
- Right-click on an empty space in that window and select Paste
- When you reboot, the client should start automatically.
If you add any flags to this shortcut, they will apply after every reboot. See step 2 of How do I add flags using a shortcut to the console client?
